"Oceanic Outback"
Acrylic paints on 48" x 36" unprimed canvas with burned canvas collage. This composition is inspired by the forms brought about by the controlled burning of canvas fragments, which are incorporated as collage elements in the finished works. Most of the work features muted, fairly neutral colors, but also has areas of brighter color that include metallic and iridescent paint which interact playfully with the light. The canvas is stapled to a wooden stretcher with a wire on the back, ready to be displayed. This is an original painting, not a print or reproduction.
