"Metamorphosis"
Oil paints on 48" x 36" primed canvas with mixed media, including burned raw canvas. The creation of this painting took place over the course of three years. During that time there were a lot of changes in my studio and inspiration styles. This composition represents the transformation and exploration that took place during that time. Those three years of change were difficult and this piece characterizes a triumph over struggle. The canvas is stapled to a wooden stretcher with a wire on the back, ready to be displayed. This is an original painting, not a print or reproduction.
